Enrique works as a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) and holds a B.A. in communication and visual arts from the University of Ottawa.
Enrique’s passion for alternative health practices began when he was around 7 years old, following a trip with his grandmother deep into the mountains of Southern Mexico. After 3 days of traveling by train, bus and horseback, Enrique experienced his first session with a healer who helped him recover from an earlier trauma. Those memories grew into a life-long interest in alternative health practices.
An intuitive facilitator, Enrique integrates a wide variety of techniques into his treatments in order to trigger the body’s self-healing mechanisms into action. Each session is as unique as the person.
The Body: Enrique provides Swedish, deep tissue and sport massage treatments. He incorporates a variety of techniques and methods depending on the treatment, including myofascial release, trigger-point therapy, muscle energy techniques, strain/counter strain, positional release, subtle energy release and remedial exercises among others. Typical conditions treated include: headaches, neck injuries, back pain, shoulder problems, posture correction, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, stress, depression, anxiety, tendonitis, injury recovery and athletic muscular atonement.
The Mind: Enrique can incorporate NLP, hypnotherapy, guided visualization, EFT and similar techniques to help his clients go beyond their current limiting beliefs. He can help you tap into your subconscious mind and bring out your unique and innate resources to get past mental obstacles. This can help to relieve anxiety, stress, minor phobias, confusion and mental blocks.
The Spirit: An inherited gift has given Enrique the ability to tune into subtle energies of the body. He can facilitate the rebalancing of the body’s natural energetic state, creating harmony, clarity and energetic flow. Once your life force flows smoothly, the body’s natural healing process improves. Treatments include Reiki, Chakra balancing, and energy flow facilitation. The benefits are clarity, focus, a sense of balance and an invigorated sense of well-being.
