Recipe
- ½ cup Monoi butter
- ¼ cup shea butter
- 2 tbsp sweet almond or jojoba oil
- 4 drops howood essential oil
- 4 drops lavender essential oil
In a double boiler, gently melt the butter until just liquid.
- Remove from heat and stir in the liquid oil.
- Allow the mixture to cool until it becomes opaque and semi-solid (soft, not hard).
- Whip with a hand mixer for 1–2 minutes until light and fluffy.
- Add howood and lavender essential oils.
- Whip again briefly to fully incorporate.
- Spoon into clean jars and allow to set at room temperature.
Make sure all equipment is clean (you can wipe down with alcohol before using).
Once packaged please be sure to label the butter the list of ingredients used.
